SUBSTANCE: mandrel for pipes manufacturing by continuous winding comprises sector straps arranged symmetrically to its axis of rotation. Sector straps are made movable relative to each other for rolling each of them by corresponding conjugate spherical shape bodies. Mandrel includes a number of sector straps divisible by three. Each group of three sector straps arranged to reciprocating motion parallel to the longitudinal mandrel axis by spherical bodies corresponding to the group, of the same diameter.
EFFECT: simplified design of the mandrel and reduced requirements for treatment cleanliness and manufacturing precision of its constituent parts.
