FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of equipment for making articles from composite fibrous materials and can be used in processes of making articles by methods of winding. Proposed mandrel for making articles from composite fibrous materials comprises sector planks arranged symmetrically about its axis of rotation and made inside hollow shaft, each of which is connected with its inner surface with possibility of reciprocal movement. Method of making mandrel for making articles from composite fibrous materials includes connection of sector planks with shaft. Connection of sector planks is performed with outer surface of shaft or with its inner surface by connection of each sector plate with shaft by means of one or several bodies, one side is rigidly connected to shaft, and other side is rigidly connected to sector plate, with possibility of reciprocating movement of sector planks relative to shaft.
EFFECT: simplified design, increased reliability and efficiency of mandrel operation, reduced weight, reduced power inputs both for production of mandrel and for production of items, increased service life, as well as expanded range of equipment for specified purpose.
