FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to design of mandrel for manufacturing of pipes by method of winding and method of application. Mandrel comprises sector planks arranged symmetrically relative to axis of its rotation and rigidly joined into units. At the same time sector planks of at least one unit are connected by means of elements of extended shape fixed by ends and making broken line. Besides at least one end of at least one of sections of which, fixed to one sector plank, is rigidly connected to at least one end of section of another broken line fixed to another sector plank of the same unit.
EFFECT: simplified design, increased reliability and reduction of mandrel weight, also reduced material intensity and reduction of power inputs for manufacturing of pipe.
