SUBSTANCE: device is described, having a surface comprising a layered coating, wherein the outer coating layer comprises a plurality of cationic hyperbranched polymer molecules characterized by (i) the presence of central fragment with a molecular weight of 14-1.000 Da, (ii) total molecular weight of 1.500-1.000.000 Da (iii) total molecular weight and central fragment molecular weight ratio of at least 80:1; and (iv) the presence of terminal functional groups, wherein one or more of the terminal functional groups are covalently linked with an anticoagulant object.
EFFECT: device includes a material that is more stable over time.
