FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, specifically to easily used silicone hydrogel contact lenses, comprising: silicone hydrogel contact lenses and a cross-linked hydrophilic coating on them, where the cross-linked hydrophilic coating contains from 5 % to 80 % by weight poly(ethylene glycol) chains (PEG chains), which are obtained from at least one member selected from a group consisting of poly(ethylene glycol) with one single amino group, poly(ethylene glycol) with one single carboxy group, poly(ethylene glycol) with one single thio group, H2N-PEG-NH2, HOOC-PEG-COOH, HS-PEG-SH, H2N-PEG-COOH, HOOC-PEG-SH, H2N-PEG-SH, multibeam PEG with one or more amino groups, multibeam PEG with one or more carboxy groups, multibeam PEG with one or more thio groups, a PEG dendrimer with one or more amino groups, a PEG dendrimer with one or more carboxy groups, a PEG dendrimer with one or more thio groups and combinations thereof, where the easily used silicone hydrogel contact lenses have (1) water film destruction time (WFDT) of 5 s or more, (2) oxygen permeability of at least 40 barrers, (3) a modulus of elasticity of 1.5 MPa or less, and (4) water content ranging from 18 % to 70 wt. %, when it is completely hydrated, and where easily used silicone hydrogel contact lenses have an end angle of wetting with water equal to 100° or less, and (5) good durability of coating, which successfully passes test for rubbing with fingers.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables to obtain silicone hydrogel contact lenses with wettable and durable coating (surface) cost-effective and time-consuming method.
