FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: to study the mechanisms of gastric cancer metastasis and to develop new methods for treatment of this pathology, epithelial-mesenchymal transformation of tumour epithelium is simulated by intragastric administration of 1 ml of a solution obtained by mixing 0.05% calcium carbonate suspension in 0.4% formaldehyde solution and 0.4% hydrogen peroxide solution at a 1:1 ratio to rats on day 1 and 3 of the experiment. The proposed method allows to model the epithelial-mesenchymal transformation of tumour epithelium at induction of experimental metastatic stomach cancer, after 4 months from the beginning of the experiment, in 83.3% of animals, and after 6 months - in all animals.
