FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: methods for assembling a ring resonator include the installation of mirrors, welding of electrodes, electrovacuum processing and sealing. Prior to the installation of the mirrors, the scattering properties of at least one mirror are determined on the basis of the registered three-dimensional image of its surface, an anisotropic scattering component due to linearly structured defects is extracted under the conditions of laser radiation incident on the mirror at an angle characteristic of this type of resonator, position of the plane of incidence of the laser beam corresponding to the minimum scattering value. As the indicated minimum scattering value, the back scattering, the total integrated scattering or the composite integral and back scattering can be chosen. Then, at least one mirror is mounted on the ring resonator in such a way that the angular position corresponding to the minimum scattering value coincides with the plane of the ring resonator.

EFFECT: reduce the error in measuring the angular velocity.
