FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: described 9-antracenates of lanthanides formula M (ant)3, where M is lanthanum and lanthanides, besides promethium Pm and cerium Ce, which exhibit luminescent properties. The complexes of ytterbium, erbium and neodymium luminesce in the infrared spectrum range, the lutetium and terbium complexes in the blue spectrum area, and the gadolinium complex Gd - in the green spectrum area. The organic light-emitting diode is also described, which includes the thin film of the mentioned lanthanide anthracenate as the emission layer. The quantum yield of the ytterbium complex is 1.3%, which is the high value for the lanthanide complexes, emitting in the infrared range. The lifetime of the neodymium, erbium, and ytterbium complexes is 17, 13, and 52 microseconds, which is the rather large value for the complexes of these metals.

EFFECT: expansion of the lanthanide complexes range with luminescence and high efficiency of electroluminescence due to the ion luminescence of lanthanides, as well as the expansion of the organic light-emitting diodes range.
