FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the polymerization of butadiene in a hydrocarbon solvent medium in the presence of a catalytic complex. The catalytic complex consists of a rare earth metal compound with the serial number 57-71 of the periodic system, an organoaluminium compound, a conjugated diene and a halogen-containing compound. Polymerized butadiene interacts with a modifier, a tin-containing compound. The modifier is fed to the polymerisate upon achievement of the monomer conversion of 87 to 95% and subjected to preliminary intensive mixing with the polymerization stream in a static flow mixer providing a degree of homogenization of, at least, 90%. After that, the resulting solution is further stirred in a subsequent reactor for 0.5-2 hours at a temperature of 62-80°C. At the end, the polymer is isolated and dried.
EFFECT: obtaining polybutadiene with a narrow polydispersity, high viscosity according to Mooney and the content of 1,4-cis units with improved physical-mechanical performance of rubber.
