FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: rubber composition contains a rubber component and technical carbon. The rubber component contains modified polybutadiene rubber, natural rubber and/or at least one diene-based synthetic rubber. The modified polybutadiene rubber has content of cis-1,4 bonds equal to or greater than 92%, content of vinyl bonds equal to or less than 1.5% and 20% or more modified chain ends. The modified polybutadiene rubber is obtained via polymerisation of 1,3-butadiene in an organic solvent using a catalyst containing a compound having a rare-earth element of the lanthanoid family, and a modifier containing a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom and/or a sulphur atom. The technical carbon has nitrogen adsorption specific surface area from 20 to 90 m2/g per 100 pts.wt rubber component. The rubber composition is used to produce tyre side walls.

EFFECT: tyre made from the rubber composition has low heat build-up and high rupture resistance.
