FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a transgenic aspen plant having a resistance to phosphinothricin as compared to a non-transformed plant and not having somaclonal changes. This plant contains the BAR gene encoding the phosphinothricin-acetyltransferase enzyme and obtained by agrobacterial transfer of the said BAR gene to aspen Pt.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to efficiently obtain an aspen plant resistant to phosphotrichin.
