FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, particularly to a transgenic aspen plant with high content of cellulose in comparison with non-transformed plant, containing XegA transgene, which encodes a xyloglucanase enzyme of Penicillium canescens fungus with a signal peptide of cellulase poplar white.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to efficiently obtain a transgenic aspen plant with high content of cellulose.
