FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, particularly to a transgenic aspen plant, which shows low wood decomposition rate compared to an untransformed plant, and comprises XegA transgene, which encodes a xyloglucanase enzyme of Penicillium canescens fungus with a signal peptide of Populus alba cellulase.
EFFECT: present invention enables to considerably simplify the technology of wood processing industry and make construction more cost-effective.
