FIELD: tobacco industry. SUBSTANCE: heater meant for heating tobacco aromatic medium has electricity conducting substrate made for connection to power supply, electric insulator deposited on at least part of substrate, and resistive heating element. First lead of heating element and part of heating element between first and second leads are insulated from substrate. Resistive heating circuit is set up for heating the heating element that functions to heat up tobacco aromatic medium. This heater as well as that used for heating cylindrical cigarettes as well as heater manufacturing process provide for smoking without forming fumes. EFFECT: improved operating conditions for electric contacts and associated control and logic circuits. 54 cl, 14 dwg
