SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining a gel preparation for the prevention of tooth decay in children includes the preparation of aqueous solutions of calcium salts and fluoride with the addition of sodium hydroxide, mixing them with a hot aqueous solution of the sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and, after cooling, with each other. In this case, dehydrated calcium chloride, sodium fluoride is used as the starting components. On their basis, aqueous solutions of calcium chloride and sodium fluoride are obtained from the calculation that in the finished gel means the CaCl₂ content was 1.40%, the NaF content was 0.044%, or 0.077%, or 0.11%. An aqueous solution of NaF with an addition of NaOH providing pH = 6.5±0.1 in the finished gel. Each of the solutions is mixed with a hot 4% aqueous solution of CMC, cooled, combined, adding fluoride to calcium, mixed well.

EFFECT: use of the method makes it possible to obtain a gel preparation containing calcium and the amount of fluorine acceptable for children's dental preparations while ensuring the presence of active ions in their composition that are able to participate in the processes of mineralization of the enamel of the teeth.
