SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is a method for prediction of the in vivo behavior of biodegradable polymeric implants and medical devices, such as absorption time or hydrolysis time. This invention provides a new in vitro methodology, hydrolysis profile determination, designed to investigateabsorbable polymers decomposition. The data obtained by this method in vitro correlates with the in vivo absorption data, which allows to predict the exact behavior of the material in vivo, for example, the absorption time.

EFFECT: invention implementation provides a more accurate prediction of in vivo absorption.
