SUBSTANCE: signal measurements are received, collected by azimuthally sensitive electromagnetic logging tool, as a function of location in well. Signal measurements are used to determine the type of bank model. Method for solving inverse problems, corresponding to the type of bank model, is applied to a set of signal measurements to determine geophysical characteristic. Geophysical characteristic is used to make a decision about drilling a well.
EFFECT: increasing of reliability of received data.
