FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed modified recombinant cell-host for the production of phenolic compounds and process for producing phenolic compounds (versions). Host cell contains three expression systems. The first expression contains at least one nucleotide sequence, coding aromatic polyketide synthase (PKS) that contains Synthase of 6-methylsalicylic acid (6-SMSA) or synthesis of orsellic acid (SOA), which may be expressed. The second system expression contains at least one nucleotide sequence encoding a holo-acyl-protein synthetases (APS), wherein APS synthase contains a pantothenic acid of specified PKS. The third expression system comprises at least one nucleotide sequence encoding a functional decarboxylase that catalyses decarboxylation for said production of a phenolic compound such that the product isolated from mentioned cell is a phenolic compound. In this case, either the first expression system of PKS and the second system of expression of APS are present on one vector or on separate vectors and the third functional decarboxylase expression system is either present on the same vector as the first expression system of PKS and/or the second expression system of APS or is present on a single vector, or the first, second or third expression system is integrated into the chromosome of the host cell or is expressed from artificial yeast chromosomes (AYC). The process for producing a phenolic compound involves providing a recombinant host cell containing three expression systems, preparing an intermediate phenolic compound in a recombinant host cell, and synthesizing a phenolic compound from an intermediate phenolic compound. Option method of production of phenolic compounds provide recombinant host cell containing the first and the second expression system, isolating the intermediate phenol compounds produced in recombinant cell-host, and decarboxylation of an intermediate compound for phenol formation of phenol compounds by heating with a metal catalyst with subsequent distillation.
