SUBSTANCE: detection and measurement of the detection signal D2D, signal D2D identification information control and tracking by the wireless transmitter-receiver unit (WTRU) PDCCH for scheduling the D2D detection can be performed by the WTRU, which can be configured with the D2D-specific transmit/receive capability configuration. The detection signal may carry the payload data for explicitly defined user and/or service identification information and may be mapped to the physical resources so, that to separate the transmission/reception of the detection signal from the downlink operations. The WTRU can measure the D2D detection signal quality and transmit the report into the network.
