FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic fibroelastometry of the liver and the spleen is performed by FibroScan apparatus, at least twice - before and during treatment with enzyme replacement therapy. For study, liver and spleen regions free of vascular structures with a diameter greater than 5 mm and homogeneous structure are selected. Sensor focusing area is 25-65 mm from the skin surface. 10 measurements are performed. The mean values of liver and spleen density in kPa are calculated. Based on the data obtained, the stages of liver fibrosis are determined: F0 at <5.9, F1 at 5.9-7.2, F2 at 7.3-9.5, F3 at 9.6-12.5, F4 at >12.5. The stages of spleen fibrosis (S) are also determined: SO at <17.6, S1 at 17.6-22.4, S2 at 22.5-30.0, S3 at 30.1-45.2, S4 at >45.2. At decreasing stages of liver and spleen fibrosis, treatment is considered effective.
EFFECT: method allows to evaluate the efficiency of treatment informatively, efficiently and safely by conducting liver and spleen fibroelastometry, performing 10 measurements, determining the stage of liver and spleen fibrosis.
