FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining the quantitative content of an additional crystal phase in a two-phase substance with impurity ions-luminogens, including recording luminescence spectra, constructing a hyperbolic calibration curve which reflects the dependence of the additional phase content in the reference samples with its known content from the luminescence analytic parameter, and subsequent use of this curve for determining the unknown content of the additional phase in the analysed sample of similar phase content as in reference samples, by substituting the luminescence analytic parameter measured for it into a calibration curve. In order to determine the phase content of a strongly scattering dispersive medium with phases inhomogeneously distributed by volume for which the Rayleigh scattering condition is satisfied, a luminescent analytic parameter calculated by the formula
is used, where λ is luminescence wavelength, I (λ)reg is recorded luminescence spectrum, (D1-D2) and (L1-L2) are the ranges of the spectrum. Ranges (D1-D2) and (L1-L2) are selected in such a way that at least one of them includes luminescence bands of the ion-luminogen located in the positions of both one and the other crystal phase.
EFFECT: allowance for the scattering of luminescence on particles of strongly scattering inhomogeneous media and the inhomogeneity of the phase distribution over the medium volume, which reduces significant error in determining the content of phase amount.
