FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel luminescent substance that can be used as active media of low-threshold solid-state infrared lasers with optical pumping, in computer science and laser devices for displaying sign, graphic, and television information as scintillators. The luminescent substance has the composition of Li3BaCaGd2.8-xY0.2-xNdx(MoO4)8, where 0.03≤x≤0.16. This luminescent substance is produced from a charge containing oxides, wt %: Li2O 2.19-2.41, BaO 7.79-8.02, CaO 2.85-2.99, Gd2O3 24.84-25.03, Y2O3 1.17-1.32, Nd2O3 0.21-0.72, MoO3 the rest.
EFFECT: increasing the luminescence intensity of the luminescent substance at the length of the electronic transition.
