SUBSTANCE: device comprises first and second image forming means aligned with the object scanning areas, a third image forming means that can be selectively moved between a first location in which the third image forming means is aligned with the object scanning areas and a second location in which the third means of image forming is out of alignment with respect to scanning areas, and an alignment unit that supports the third image forming unit. The equalization unit provides correction of at least one of the position or orientation of the third image forming means with respect to scanning areas. The method of scanning an object using a plurality of image forming means comprises moving the first image forming means alternately between a first location in which the first image forming means is aligned with the scan areas of the second and third image forming means and a second location in which the first image forming means is out of alignment with respect to scanning areas, and ensuring correction of at least one of the positions or orientation of the third image forming means relative to the scanning zones.
EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to improve the combination of data from various imaging tools.
