SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a shape for lens preform, a method for developing a shape for a lens preform, a method for manufacturing a lens preform, an ophthalmic lens preform, a method for manufacturing an ophthalmic lens comprising processing a lens preform, an apparatus for implementing a method for creating a set of instructions for use in a lens device for manufacturing a mould for the preparation of an ophthalmic lens. The ophthalmic lens preform comprises a lens preform comprising a lens edge that defines an outer perimeter of the lens preform and an edge portion of the lens that is present along or at least a portion of the edge of the lens or near it. The lens edge element comprises a guard structure configured to hold the fluid reaction medium of the lens present inside the perimeter of the lens preform. The medium is cross-linked and comprises a photoabsorbing component. The first surface comprises a portion of the material with a first degree of crosslinking density, at least partially polymerized at or above the gelation temperature, and includes mentioned elements. The second fluid surface comprises a material with a second degree of crosslinking density cured at a temperature below the gel point in which at least a portion of the second surface can be embedded in the ophthalmic lens.
EFFECT: increasing the speed of making lenses.
