FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: melting vessel contains the main chamber for melting the metal containing material and the molten metal production and the receiver, connected to the main melting chamber through the connecting element of the receiver. In this case, the melting vessel contains the solidificated slag, that covers at least the connecting element of the receiver. The method includes the heating of the solidificated slag, forming the molten slag, the removing of the molten slag from the receiver connecting element through the receiver and creation of the free flow passage through the receiver connecting element. Thereafter, the hot start of the melting process is performed by means of the subsequent steps, including the charging molten metal feeding into the main chamber through the receiver connecting element, the charging materials feeding into the process, melting of the metal containing material and production of the molten metal.

EFFECT: provision of more efficient and productive procedure of the melting process starting.
