SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground penetrating radar methods of all layers of peat strata in real time to detect a boundary of a local underground peat fire by a portable georadar, delivered to the surface of the peat bog by an unmanned aircraft or air balloon. Method for delivering a portable georadar to the surface of a peat bog and receiving real-time sounding data is to deliver the device to the surface of the peat bog, to install it in the controlled area and to transmit the sounding data. Delivery of ground penetrating radar device is carried out by an unmanned aircraft or air balloon, its location is fixed on the route map, and sounding data obtained by the device is transmitted via Wi-Fi network to an unmanned aerial vehicle or air balloon during a supervising flight of all the portable georadars located in the controlled area.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the placement of a portable georadar on the surface of the peat bog in a controlled area in those places where it was previously impossible or extremely dangerous to mount instruments and equipment.
