FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of details made of metal rubber (MR) which is spiral wires interlaced and then compressed. The method includes forming at least three layers of spirals on a template of a predetermined configuration limited by screws, removing the limiting screws and separating the workpiece from the template. In the first layer the spiral is placed at an equal distance from each other from screw to screw, and the spiral changes its direction while bending around the screw. Each next spiral layer is laid in the same way at an angle to the previous layer. After separation from the template, the workpiece can be subjected to further pressing. The template can be a cylindrical mandrel, in the first layer the spiral is laid at an angle to the axis of the template, in the next layer the spiral is laid straight along the generatrix from the screw to the screw, the spiral changes direction bending around the screw.
EFFECT: uniform distribution of the finished workpiece spirals and production of details of the high porosity MR.
