FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: during standard ultrasound examination of the heart and aorta, the maximum diameter of the aorta at the Valsalva sinus level and the maximum diameter of the tubular segment of the ascending aorta are measured. Then, the measurement results obtained are compared. If the diameter of the tubular segment of the ascending aorta is revealed to be greater than or equal to the aortic aperture at the level of the Valsalva sinus, but does not reach the values corresponding to the "aortic aneurysm" diagnosis, a conclusion is made about "aorta ascending configuration disturbance.".

EFFECT: method allows to perform early diagnostics of the ascending aorta pathology using ultrasound.
