FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming a shell on the model block using silica binder, a refractory filler and dusting material, drying of shell layers, melting of model composition and shell tempering. The main silica is used as a binder, and yttrium oxide is used as the refractory filler and dusting cover. After each layer is applied, it is impregnated with aqueous solution of an aluminoborbophosphate concentrate while simultaneously exposing said solution to ultrasound with intensity of 10…15 kW/m2.
EFFECT: acceleration of mould formation cycle and increase of thermochemical stability of ceramic shell moulds to heat-resistant alloys poured in vacuum, including intermetallic alloys of titanium-aluminium system.
