FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves placing a stamp in the vacuum chamber of the installation, creating the required vacuum, ionizing the stamp engraving surface, and then applying a predetermined number of layers of the titanium compounds to the metals and nitrogen. First, a titanium sub-layer or a titanium-based alloy with a thickness of 0.4 to 0.8 mcm is applied, and then heterogeneous layers of the titanium compounds with metals and nitrogen with a thickness of 1.2 to 2.0 mcm each are applied. When applying heterogeneous layers, their formation is alternated at a pressure in the vacuum chamber of the installation of 2⋅10-2 up to 5⋅10-2 Pa and at a pressure in the vacuum chamber of the installation of 1⋅10-1 up to 3⋅10-1 Pa. For the formation of the titanium compounds with metals, the titanium compounds with the following metals are used: Al, Mo, Zr, V, Si, C or a combination thereof.
EFFECT: reducing costs, increasing the reliability of the coating.
