NANOPARTICLES EASILY PENETRATING INTO MUCOSA OR INDUCING LESS INFLAMMATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61K47/50 B82B3/00 B82Y5/00

Abstract RU 2631599 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to nanoparticles for administration of one or more therapeutic, prophylactic and/or diagnostic agents that are obtained by emulsifying a solution of one or more biocompatible polymers forming the nanoparticles nucleus, one or more polyethylene glycol (PEG) forming the nanoparticles coating, one or more therapeutic, prophylactic and/or diagnostic agents and one or more low molecular weight emulsifiers in an organic solvent with stirring for at least three hours for organic solvent evaporation and PEG chains diffusion and collection on the nanoparticles surface. Nanoparticles coating is characterized by the ratio [G/G*] greater than 2, where G is PEG surface density, which characterizes the number of PEG molecules per 100 nm2 of the nanoparticle surface, and G* is the total nanoparticle surface coverage, characterizing the theoretical number of freely located PEG molecules required for a total coating of 100 nm2 nanoparticle surfaces; as well as a method for their preparation and a pharmaceutical composition comprising such nanoparticles.

EFFECT: improved ability of nanoparticles to penetrate through mucus, without mucin sorbing.
