FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for controlling delivery of stack of valuable documents contains a sensor, an analytical device and a control device. The sensor is designed to take a picture of the side of the document stack. The analytical device is designed to identify the edges of individual documents in the photograph area. The control device is designed to control the stack delivery, depending on the number of identified edges of the documents. In the implementation of the method for controlling delivery of the stack of valuable documents, the stack side is photographed. The photograph is analysed to determine the number of edges of the documents. The stack delivery is controlled depending on the number of edges of the documents. If it is impossible to determine the number of edges of the documents, the photograph brightness in the photograpgh area is determined. With the piece sorting of the documents displayed on the photograpgh area, the stack delivery is controlled depending on the specific brightness.

EFFECT: possibility to control the stack delivery if it is impossible to identify the individual edges of documents.
