FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices providing passive safety for bicycle drivers, pedestrians and other road users moving on double-wheel vehicles when they collide with the front of cars. The device comprises a set of overload sensors and a control unit connected electrically to the gas generators actuators and an external airbag from opening in front of the driver's seat which is inflated from under the hood and covering the windshield of the car with the front struts and the leading edge of the roof. The airbag has boards on the left and right edges, the side surfaces of which are parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis and for the upper edge - connected to the mentioned flanges board, the front and rear surfaces of which are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the car.
EFFECT: improved protection effectiveness.
