FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: dressing contains a sheet of dressing material. The sheet contains a layer of skin-safe adhesive. The adhesive layer has a base layer on its surface located on the side not facing the skin. The dressing also comprises a removable flexible protective layer located on the skin-facing surface of the adhesive layer. The protective layer protects the adhesive layer before dressing application. The protective layer is removably attached to the adhesive layer. The protective layer is made of foam material with a thickness of 500 mcm - 3 mm. Method sheet application includes the steps of provision of a self-adhesive dressing, protective layer central portion removal and attachment of thus opened self-adhesive dressing sheet surface to the skin, following by peripheral portion removal, attachment of the dressing sheet peripheral portion to the skin.

EFFECT: provision of high dressing flexibility, increased comfort and ease of use.
