SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment, namely to a wound dressing assembly and a method for applying a wound dressing on a mammalian skin. Bandage assembly comprises wound covering element having length and width exceeding height. Wound covering element has the first main surface having the wound-sensitive coating element sensitive to pressure glue containing colloidal absorbent. Adhesive is arranged and configured to be bonded to mammalian skin in use. Wound covering element includes the second main surface opposite to the first main surface. Second major surface of wound covering element is impermeable for physiological liquids. Bandage assembly comprises a carrier having a length and a width exceeding the height. Carrier comprises first main surface facing second main surface of wound covering element and detachably attached to second main surface of wound covering element. First main surface of carrier has first zone and second zone surrounding first zone. First and second zones are provided with pressure-sensitive adhesive arranged thereon and configured to be glued to skin. Carrier includes second main surface opposite to first main surface of carrier. First zone is larger in area than the second main surface of the wound coating. In application after application of wound covering element and carrier on skin, carrier is removable from wound covering element with leaving wound covering element glued to skin. Method for applying a wound dressing on mammalian skin, comprising the steps of a wound dressing assembly is applied on the skin of a mammal. Method comprises a step of removing a carrier from a wound coating element, leaving the wound covering element glued to the skin of a mammal.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a wound dressing having both adhesive properties for wound closure, and sufficient ability to absorb exudate, which is able to effectively protect the healing wounds.
