FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing a coated product involves preparing a glass substrate, float glass, containing the first and the second major surfaces. The first major surface is an air side of the float glass. The first major surface is etched with a mild pickling acid. A layer containing diamond-like carbon (DLC) is applied to the first major surface. The protective film is then applied over the DLC, the protective film comprising, at least, a separating and oxygen-permeable layers. The separating and oxygen-permeable layers consist of different materials and/or have different stoichiometric composition. The glass substrate is heat treated with a DLC-containing layer and a protective film thereon at the temperature sufficient for thermal cracking, thermal hardening and/or hot bending, without significant burning out the DLC-containing layer. The protective film is removed.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce turbidity after heat treatment.
