SUBSTANCE: bearing structure comprises a crankshaft (9) rotatably supported by the crankshaft bearing portion (12) formed from the cylinder block (10) of the internal combustion engine and the first bearing cover through the bearing insert (41) and the second shaft supported rotatably by the bearing portion (17) of the second shaft formed from the first bearing cover and the second bearing cover. The crankshaft insert (41) has a plain main bearing shell portion (42), a main bearing shell oil groove portion (44) in which the oil groove (43) on the side of the insert (41) extending in the circumferential direction is formed along the entire inner circumference, the first oil hole (48), which one end opens in the oil groove (43) on the side of the insert (41), and its other end communicates with the lower end of the oil passage (27) inside the block (10) that extends from the oil block line (10) to the bearings of the crankshaft portion (12) and the second oil hole (49), one of its ends opens in the oil groove (43) on the side of the insert (41), and its other end communicates with the upper end of the oil passage (28) inside the cover, which passes from the bearing part (12) of the crankshaft portion (9) to the bearing part (17) of the control shaft.
