FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: for the implementation of the method, a 60-100 μl of aliquot of 50 μM peptide solution in a buffer solution is applied to a printed graphite electrode. A square-wave voltammogram of oxidation is recorded in the region of 0 to 1.5 V (rel. Ag/AgCl). The potentials of the maxima and heights of the obtained oxidation signals of the amino acid residues - peaks or waves are measured, and the results are recorded. By the difference in the position of the potentials of the maxima of the oxidation signals and their intensity, knowing the amino acid sequences for the group of peptides under study or having a database obtained earlier, the peptides are identified. When comparing the results on the control - "normal" peptide, the amino acid substitution is stated.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides for the electrochemical identification of peptides and the identification of amino acid substitutions in their structure.
