SUBSTANCE: method for analysis of amino acid substitutions and modifications Aβ (without or in combination with Zn(II) ions), according to the invention, includes application of an aliquot (60-100 mcl) of 50 mcM A solutionβ (vontrol) or of its isoform in a buffer solution with or without 100 mcM of Zn (II) (after incubation for 10 minutes) to a stamped graphite electrode, and electrochemical Aβ detection on the electrode by recording the square-wave voltammogram of peptide oxidation. The height and the maximum potential of the resulting peak oxidation is measured near 0.6-0.7 V (rel. to Ag/AgCl) at neutral pH, and a change in signal intensity versus control indicates amino acid substitution or modification.

EFFECT: method for electrochemical analysis of amino acid substitutions and modifications of peptide Aβ with and without Zn(II) ions presence, which is based on the measurement of an oxidation signal of single Tyr-10 Aβ residue.
