FIELD: analytical chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for quantitative determination of carbofuran in water by anodic voltammetry includes the preparation of water samples by adding a standard solution of carbofuran in methanol to it after hydrolysis. As a working electrode, a graphite electrode is used, to the surface of which pre-purified with ultrasound, a homogeneous suspension obtained by mixing microcrystalline graphite, polystyrene and chromaton-FE(III) is applied, with the following component ratio, wt.%, graphite with a particle size of more than 45 mcm - 60-63; polystyrene - 9-11.5; chromaton-FE (III) - 27-30.5, which is dried in air after application to the electrode surface. A chloride-silver electrode is used as an auxiliary electrode. The concentration of carbofuran is determined by the height of an anode peak at the anode maximum of voltage curves from 0.5 to 0.65 V relatively to the saturated chloride-silver reference electrode.

EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of a simple, sensitive and express method for the determination of carbofuran in water.
