SUBSTANCE: pH levels of the oral fluid before and after 3, 5, 10 minutes after oral cavity rinsing for 30 seconds with 10 ml of 8% aqueous urea solution. The degree of oral fluid alkalinization is calculated as the difference between the maximum pH at any of the measurement stages (3, 5 or 10 minutes) and the initial pH. At its value less than 0.4 pH units, low level, from 0.4 to 0.6 pH units - moderate, more than 0.6 pH units - high level of risk of inflammatory periodontal disease is recorded.
EFFECT: provides an informed early appointment of preventive measures for prevention of this group of dental diseases, as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of their conduct.
