FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the anatomo-topographical state of condylar processes and to identify early stages of development of pathological processes on magnetic resonance, cone-ray computer tomograms of the lower jaw condylar process, and also on orthopantomograms both in the closed and open positions of the patient's mouth. The following parameters are measured: - α - condylar process neck inclination angle; - β - condylar process head inclination angle; - γ - lower jaw branch inclination angle. The severity of inclination is determined by comparing these parameters for the right and left condylar processes of the lower jaw, definition of condylar processes induction begins with the following: on the jaw tomogram, as shown in Fig. 1, tangent line M is drawn to the most prominent points D and T on the rear contour of the lower jaw branch, then tangent line P is drawn to the most prominent points A on the tops of the joint heads and an internal angle - γis obtained, formed at the intersection of lines P and M, which determines the lower jaw branch inclination, line K is drawn through point A perpendicular to line M, then line H - the bisector of the angle formed by lines M and K - is drawn, the intersection of line H with the condylar process outlines in point C is the upper boundary of the external surface of the condylar process neck, in point B - the upper boundary of the internal surface of the condylar process neck, the resulting segment BC denotes the x-ray zone of condylar process transition to the articular process head, line L is drawn through points B and D to line M, and an angle - α is obtained, formed by lines M and L, which determines the condylar process inclination, line V is drawn through point E - the most protruding point on the front surface of the articular head - and point D to line MT, and an angle - β is obtained, formed by lines L and V, which determines the inclination of the articular head of the condylar process.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of lower jaw condylar processes inclination on the human jaws tomogram.
