FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: infrared (IR) complex acting phosphor based on yttrium and lanthanum oxysulfides, activated by Nd3+ ions and co-activated by Pr3+ ions, has a composition corresponding to the following empirical formula: (Ln1-x-y-z-d-cGdxNdyPrzMe1dMe2c)2O2S, where Ln - is one of Y3+, La3+ ions; Me1 is one of the Periodic System group II elements - Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+; Me2 is one of the Periodic System group IV elements - (Ti4+, Zr4+, Si4+) or one of the Periodic System group V elements - (Nb5+, Ta5+); 0<x≤0.820; 0.005≤y≤0.025; 0.00001≤z≤0.005; 0.01≤d≤0.1; 0.005≤c≤0.05.
EFFECT: invention enables to increase the photostimulated quenching of Stokes IR luminescence of the mentioned ions in ranges of 0,86-0,95 mcm, 1,03-1,12 mcm and 1,3-1,45 mcm without significant changes to the initial radiation source spectral composition, under the combined action of exciting IR radiation in the range of 0,79-0,82 mcm and stimulating radiation in the range of 0,30-0,75 mcm.
