FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method resides in feeding mares with a supplementary feed containing succinic acid, beet molasses, iron sulfate, copper sulfate, cobalt sulfate, zinc sulfate, sodium chloride and water, besides the components are taken in a certain ratio. The supplementary feed is used for 1 month before parturation and for 1 month after it. 1/3 litre of the supplementary feed is preliminarily diluted in 3 litres of tap water and the morning portion of oats is sprinkled with 150 ml of the solution.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows to correct energy-metabolic processes in pregnant mares.
