SUBSTANCE: invention relates to horse breeding, in particular to a method for correction of sports horses metabolism in the starting period. Method involves feeding a metabolic composition to horses, which is used in the period between arrivals for 14 days. One litre of the composition is diluted in 5 litres of tap water and the morning portion of oats is flavoured with the obtained solution in amount of 350 ml. Composition contains molasses, sodium chloride, succinic acid, iron sulphate, cobalt sulphate, copper sulphate, zinc sulphate, iodinol and nettle extract. All ingredients are taken in certain proportions.
EFFECT: use of the invention will allow correcting metabolic processes, quickly recovering strength, improving resistance and athletic qualities of horses in the starting period.
