FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to a method of correcting metabolism and preventing transport stress in sports horses. Method involves feed of horses with a fodder additive containing succinic acid, beet molasses, sodium chloride, iron sulphate, copper sulphate, cobalt sulphate, zinc sulphate, iodinol and water in certain proportions. Fodder additive is used for three days before transportation and three hours after the hippodrome tests with subsequent use for five days, wherein 1/3 l of the additive is preliminarily diluted in 3 liters of tap water and 250 ml of the solution, the morning portion of oat is flavoured or dissolved in 5 liters of water and then it is being evaporated.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables correcting metabolic processes, quickly recovering strength, increasing resistance, athletic qualities and preventing stress in horses during sports tests.
