SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine. What is presented is a method for correction of horse marrow metabolism in the last trimester involving feeding to fodder mares a fodder additive containing succinic acid, beet molasses, sodium chloride, microelements, wherein iodinol is further added to the formulation used, with the following ratio of the initial components per 1 l of the aqueous solution: iodinol 50 ml; beet molasses 500 ml; amber acid 20 g; sodium chloride 50 g; iron sulphate 5 g; copper sulphate 1 g; cobalt sulphate 3 g; zinc sulphate 3 g; water – balance, fodder additive is used for 17 days before delivery and 17 days after delivery, wherein 1/3 l of the composition is preliminarily dissolved in 3 l of tap water and a morning portion of oat is individually flavored with 200 ml of the obtained solution.

EFFECT: invention enables correcting the metabolic processes in the foal mares in the prenatal and postpartum periods.
