FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: in the method, clonal multiplication of the improved plants is carried out by means of cuttings. Herewith the collection material of each variety is formed by monoclonal mini-tubers grown indoors on the aeroponic device from one propagated improved plant under conditions characteristic of the climatic zone, where the variety is zoned. Then the collection material of each potato variety is stored and maintained in the form of genetically homogeneous monoclonal mini-tubers, the productivity of which corresponds to the genetic potential of the variety, by periodically renewing the collection material of this variety with a new generation of monoclonal mini-tubers grown indoors on the aeroponic device from the tubers taken from the collection of this variety. Cultivation of cuttings during the multiplication of an ancestral imroved plant is carried out in autotrophic conditions on hydroponics.

EFFECT: method allows to accelerate and mechanize the stage of production of the original potato, and to reduce labour costs.
