FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in multiplexing the components of the spectrum into several channels, the number of which is less than the number of all components, filtering the multiplexed components in each channel, and spatial accumulating filtered components in all the channels to form the reduced images of the optical spectra. The filtration of the components in each multiplex channel is performed in various ways based on filtering in the previous channels. Herewith variations in the values of the components of the set of all optical spectra are recorded in the first channel, and a reference discrete signal is generated, from which the values of the increase/decrease of the amplitudes of the components are adjusted. In the subsequent channels, the corresponding reference discrete signals orthogonal to all the reference signals of the previous channels are formed, and the values of the increase/decrease of the amplitudes of the components of these channels are adjusted from the values of their samples.

EFFECT: expansion of functionality and the provision of automatic processing of optical spectra.
