FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: reducing agent supply system comprising an injection valve, a pump made with the possibility to supply the reducing agent to the injection valve and to pump out the reducing agent back, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit actuates the valve element to perform an operating stroke with closing and opening in such a manner that the operation of closing and opening the injection opening of the injection valve is performed predetermined number of times after the command to stop the internal combustion engine is issued. During internal combustion engine operation, the electronic control unit calculates the amount of substances generated during the operation of internal combustion engine. Such substances cause accumulation of deposits on the edge of the injection opening of the injection valve. The electronic control unit sets the increased number of times of closing and opening operation of the injection opening of the injection valve at the increase of calculated amount of produced substances, when a command to stop the internal combustion engine is issued.
EFFECT: use of invention will allow to prevent clogging of the injection opening of the injection valve due to solidification of deposits sucked into the injection opening after the command to stop the internal combustion engine is issued.
